So many people visit the beach for the summer vacation. It's hot weather, you're by the ocean, the ocean breeze soothes the soul, and being surrounded by the beach helps you leave your worries behind. On the East Coast, many people will vacation in beach towns like Myrtle Beach, Ocean City, or Jersey Shore. You have probably heard of at least one of those places, maybe you have even been to one of them! But have you ever wondered about the people who are actually their full-time? The born and raised beach townies! Have you ever visited one of these beach towns during the winter? Everything is closed, it is deserted, and the beaches look post-apocalyptic. Honestly, it's awesome. I'm not a native beach townie, but I have family who is and have visited them often during the “off-season” and it is a jarring difference to tourist season. Maybe better? Idk, you can't really swim and everything is closed so, that's not the best… But it's so empty and the natives who are there are usually lovely. If you know what I mean, these memes are for you!
